These clocks are made from repurposed vinyl records and feature a one-of-a-kind, hand-painted design. I use a variety of acrylic fluid art techniques to create each unique abstract painting. Once dry, I coat each painting with a minimum of two coats of high-gloss varnish giving a resin-like effect. After allowing everything to dry again, I turn the finished record over to my mother-in-law, Denice, for the final steps. Denice carefully studies each painting, then picks out and customizes the hands and number markers. After painstakingly attaching the number markers, hands, and mechanism, and allowing for further drying time, the clock is done. The entire process takes approximately three weeks per clock.
